Haunted House Miniwalk!

Do you dare to enter a Haunted Sasha Bruce House? If so, please join SBY staff, youth and volunteers on Friday, October 28, at 5:00pm at 1022 Maryland Avenue NE, for a Haunted House Miniwalk to raise funds for our Help the Homeless campaign.
Fannie Mae’s Help the Homeless Program is a DC-based fundraiser to support organizations that work to prevent homelessness. Our Haunted House Miniwalk is our largest Help the Homeless event and we hope for a large turnout from the public. The Help the Homeless program culminates in the Help the Homeless Walkathon, happening on Saturday, November 19 on the National Mall. SBY staff will be registering people to walk with us in the Walkathon during the Haunted House. The Haunted House Miniwalk will take place in the Sasha Bruce House, DC’s only emergency shelter for youth. SBY staff, youth, volunteers and the public will be touring our Haunted House and participating in an educational segment about homelessness while enjoying Jamaican food (from A Taste of Jamaica), games, a scary movie and bountiful candy. SBY’s P.O.W.E.R. Program will also be HIV testing during the party with incentives for youth ages 13-24 to get tested.
