Join us at teen pregnancy community forums

Sasha Bruce Youthwork will host a series of forums to gather input from the community and to examine best practices related to teenage pregnancy prevention programming. The forums will run Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm each week of August in Wards 4, 6, 7 and 8.
The dates and locations of the forums are listed here:
- August 2 at King Greenleaf Recreation Center in Ward 6, 201 N Street SW;
- August 9 at Richardson Youth Center in Ward 7, 260 54th Street NE;
- August 16 at our Kindred Connections Center in Ward 8, 2925 MLK SE;
- August 23 (tentative date) at a location to be determined in Ward 4.
The forums will be facilitated by Margaux Delotte-Bennett, Director of our POWER Program, we are looking for your ideas on how best to prevent teen pregnancies and we will examine current and emerging strategies to help pregnant and parenting teenagers remain in school.
All forums are open to the public; refreshments and child care provided. $50 gift cards for participating families; $25 gift cards for teens.
