Save-the-Date: Pre-Inaugural Ball January 19

President-Elect Barack Obama cut his teeth in politics as a community organizer. This type of work is our bailiwick, so we’ve partnered with three other DC nonprofits to honor community organizers, youth and unsung heroes at a party for the people Inauguration Eve.
Inauguration Day will be filled with celebration, as people from around the world come to DC to participate in this momentous day of history. Sadly, many parties have very high ticket prices and exclusive lits of invitees. In the spirit of community organizing, we’re offering a grassroots alternative: DC’s “Yes We Can” People’s Pre-Inaugural Ball.
