REACH Adolescent Group Home
REACH Adolescent Group Home is a community-based residential facility for committed and detained youth ages 12 to18 who are in the custody of and referred by the DC Youth Services Administration. REACH provides youth involved in the juvenile justice system with a highly structured, service-enriched, homelike environment as an alternative to institutionalization. The average stay for young people is three to six months. The program emphasizes individual, group, and family counseling; educational remediation; life skills development; substance abuse counseling; and self-esteem building.
