Experiencing homelessness can be hard and overwhelming, but you don’t have to face this alone. We are here to help. At the Bruce Empowerment Zone, you will find a caring home with staff ready to help.

J.E. Howard Community Center

Capitol Heights, MD

The Center is a half-mile walk from the Southern Ave/Torque St bus stop, serving WMATA routes F14 to New Carrollton Station, S35 to Fort Dupont, S35 to Bradbury Heights, V7 to Minnesota Ave Station, and W4 to Deanwood Station. It is also a 0.7 mile walk from the Marlboro Pike/Glacier Ave stop serving route 24 on “The Bus.”
