A Bullseye for Community: How Flight Club Darts DC Is Making Joy Possible for Unhoused Youth

In a city where hundreds of young people are focused on survival—finding shelter, safety, and support, moments of fun can feel far away. But earlier this year, a new business stepped in to change that.

Flight Club Darts DC, known for its high-tech darts and social atmosphere, partnered with Sasha Bruce Youthwork to create something special: joy, connection, and community.

The partnership began in early 2025, when Flight Club was preparing to open its DC location. Through an introduction from our friends at Moki Media, Flight Club invited Sasha Bruce Youthwork staff and supporters to a preview event.

Flight Club D.C.’s grand opening transformed Mount Vernon Square into a carnival of sights, sounds, and spirited competition. Guests sipped cocktails under glowing lights, hurled darts in high-tech oches, and ate playful bites like poké tacos and cotton candy. It was like stepping into a whimsical, high-energy playground built for grown-ups.

That evening planted the seeds of something deeper.

Soon after, Flight Club hosted a Benefit Committee meeting for our board members, youth, and staff. It was more than just a meeting; it was a chance for different parts of our community to come together in a fun, low-pressure environment. General Manager Tiffany McClintock and Sales Manager Danielle Russin helped us feel right at home, offering a VIP section for privacy, complimentary dart games, and delicious appetizers at a reduced cost. Jose, a member of their team, provided exceptional service, checking in regularly, introducing us to dart game options, and helping with event supplies at the end of the night.

These moments may seem simple, but they matter.

For young people in crisis or healing from trauma, being welcomed into a joyful public space with dignity and care can be profoundly transformative.

We’re especially excited for what’s next: Flight Club will soon host a private afternoon of fun for current and former youth residents. For young people who are often in survival mode, this kind of outing is rare. It gives them a chance to relax, laugh, and feel like they belong.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to explore hosting a career exploration day at Flight Club, where youth residents can discover the range of roles that bring the space to life. It’s more than a behind-the-scenes look; it’s about giving young people the tools, exposure, and confidence to see themselves in these careers, and empowering them to shape their own future, on their own terms.

This is what partnership looks like. Flight Club supports Sasha Bruce Youthwork through generous in-kind donations, reduced rates, and a sincere commitment to the community. In return, they gain meaningful local connections, goodwill, the satisfaction of helping young people, and a deeper purpose beyond business. Together, we’re creating space for healing and reminding young people that they are seen, valued, and worth celebrating.

We’re proud to partner with Flight Club Darts DC and excited for what’s ahead.
