More Than Skin Deep: Silver Mirror’s Commitment to Youth and Community

At Sasha Bruce Youthwork, our impact is fueled by individuals and community-minded companies who believe in our mission and actively work to support it. Silver Mirror Facial Bar is one of those standout partners, a company that brings both care and creativity to their engagement with our young people and programs. In addition to empowering youth, Silver Mirror regularly shares thoughtful gifts and self-care items with our staff, recognizing the importance of caring for those on the front lines. Their commitment reflects a true partnership rooted in compassion, wellness, and impact.

One of their most meaningful contributions has been the donation of a spa room at Allen House, our residential program for minors and young adults in the foster care system. For many of the young people we serve, some of whom arrive in survival mode, with limited exposure to consistent self-care, this serene space provides more than just comfort. It offers safety, dignity, and access to experiences they may never have had before. The spa room has quickly become a refuge that supports mental health, encourages rest, and introduces the concept of wellness.

Building on this foundation, we’re now planning a hands-on class led by Silver Mirror estheticians. This upcoming workshop will offer youth an introduction to skincare, hygiene, and self-care, along with a look into related career paths. It’s a powerful way to combine healing with workforce development and to spark future possibilities.

Silver Mirror has also been a generous supporter of our Colors of Resilience campaign, which culminated in our annual benefit, bringing together more than 300 business and community leaders, supporters, youth residents, and staff. Events like these showcase the strength, creativity, and spirit of our youth, and the many ways our communities rise together through adversity. Silver Mirror contributed to this vision by donating auction items and self-care experiences, helping us raise essential funds and engage a broader community.

From the very beginning of our relationship, Silver Mirror has demonstrated a deep and ongoing commitment to our mission. One of their first initiatives was hosting Donor Appreciation Spa Nights, thoughtfully designed evenings for connection, gratitude, and reflection. Guests were invited to unwind with services like the Signature Facial or Lymphatic Lift, offering firsthand experience of the restorative power of self-care. We’re thrilled to host our second annual Spa Night this August, continuing this tradition of care and community.

Silver Mirror has also found creative ways to give back through fundraising campaigns, including donating a portion of proceeds from select services to benefit our programs. Their generosity is matched by their imagination, finding meaningful ways to uplift our work while engaging their own clients and community.

Silver Mirror’s partnership is a beautiful example of what’s possible when companies choose to show up not just with resources, but with heart.
